1. Acceptance of Terms

All services are subject to our standard Service Level Agreements (SLA) provided separately. Service descriptions on our website are general in nature; specific details will be outlined in individual contracts with authors, illustrators, and partners.

3. Intellectual Property Rights

3.1 Company Content

All content on the VT International Press Ltd. website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, audio clips, digital downloads, and software, is the property of VT International Press Ltd. or its content suppliers and is protected by international copyright laws.

3.2 Author Rights

Authors retain copyright ownership of their original manuscripts and published works unless otherwise agreed in writing. The Company acquires only the rights necessary to publish, distribute, and promote the work as specified in the Publishing Agreement.

3.3 Permissions & Fair Use

You may not reproduce, distribute, transmit, publicly perform, publicly display, or create derivative works from our website content without explicit written permission from VT International Press Ltd. Limited reproduction for personal, non-commercial use may be permitted in accordance with fair dealing provisions.

Any request for permissions should be submitted in writing to our Permissions Department with specific details of intended use.

4. Author Submissions & Agreements

4.1 Manuscript Submissions

Authors submitting manuscripts to VT International Press Ltd. warrant that:

  • The work is original and authored by the submitter
  • The work does not infringe on the intellectual property rights of any third party
  • The work has not been previously published in the same format
  • The author has the authority to grant the rights requested
  • The work does not contain material that is defamatory, obscene, or illegal

4.2 Publishing Agreement

All accepted manuscripts must be governed by a formal Publishing Agreement between the author and VT International Press Ltd. This agreement will specify:

  • Grant of rights and territory of publication
  • Term of agreement and reversion rights
  • Financial terms and royalty arrangements
  • Author responsibilities and obligations
  • Company responsibilities and timelines

4.3 Rejection Policy

The Company reserves the right to reject any submission without providing reasons. Rejection does not imply the manuscript is of poor quality; it may reflect our current publishing focus or capacity.

5. Payment Terms

5.1 Invoice & Payment

All invoices are payable within 30 days of invoice date unless otherwise agreed in writing. Payment must be made via the methods specified on the invoice, which may include:

  • Bank transfer
  • Credit or debit card (through secure payment gateway)
  • Cheque (where applicable)
  • Online payment platforms

5.2 Late Payment

Payments not received by the due date will accrue interest at the rate of 8% per annum (or the maximum rate permitted by law, whichever is lower) from the date due until payment is made in full. The Company reserves the right to suspend services and/or pursue legal action for non-payment.

5.3 Refunds

Refund policies are determined on a case-by-case basis and will be clearly outlined in the relevant service agreement or purchase terms. Generally, refunds are not available once services have been initiated or products have been shipped, except where we have failed to meet our obligations.

5.4 Taxes

All prices are exclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. The customer is responsible for paying any applicable GST, VAT, sales tax, or other local taxes on purchases.

6. Limitation of Liability

6.1 Disclaimer

To the fullest extent permitted by law, VT International Press Ltd provides its services and website on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose of our services or content.

6.2 Limitation of Damages

Except where prohibited by law, VT International Press Ltd. total liability arising from or related to this Agreement shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to the Company in the 12 months preceding the claim. In no event shall the Company be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

6.3 Third-Party Content

The Company is not responsible for third-party websites, services, or content linked from our platform. Your use of third-party services is governed by their terms and conditions.

7. Website Use & Content

7.1 Permitted Use

You agree to use our website only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe upon the rights of others or restrict their use and enjoyment of the website. Prohibited behavior includes:

Any disputes that cannot be resolved through mediation shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). The arbitration shall be conducted in English and the seat of arbitration shall be London, United Kingdom.
